Persisting Pain

What would your life look like without pain?

Feeling comfortable.

Doing the things that you love to do.

Enjoying every day.

You know you have a physical problem and it may have caused you pain for a long time. You probably have a diagnosis by now to confirm it. It may be something such as arthritis, sciatica, ongoing pain from an injury or surgery, or even a more complex chronic pain condition like fibromyalgia, ME or chronic fatigue syndrome.

Whichever it is, if you are reading this, then it is no doubt painful and it can easily dominate your life. When a pain is chronic, it is common to hear that medical professionals have investigated it and fully treated it as best as they can and arrived at a point where they explain that nothing further can be done.

Letting go of long term pain

There is something you can do to make it happen. OldPain2Go® can help you let go of the pain, set yourself free and take back control of your life.

This approach addresses the protective pain programme in your body that is continuing to run without your awareness. Your unconscious mind has the potential to reset it like pressing the reset button on a fire alarm. This can mean a reduction or even a complete removal or your pain in one session.

As I am not a medical practitioner, it is vital that you have attended a physician and been diagnosed. Pain is a normal protection mechanism and removing or reducing with out understanding the underlying reason for it it can expose you to further trauma. No hypnosis or trance is required, just a logical explanation for the basis for the pain and how it no longer serves you a purpose.

You do not need to believe in the technique, but you have to want to let go of your pain.

When you feel ready then call me for an OldPain2Go® session. You’ll be so glad you took that next step.

Why does long term pain occur?

Have you ever wondered why the pain from that condition has stayed when most, if not all, pains that you have previously experienced in your life, have disappeared after the problem has been attended to?

For example, the pain can be severe if you squeeze your own earlobe, but it goes as soon as you release the pressure and there is no damage. Your body simply alerts you to the fact that you may sustain damage if you do not let go.

If you do suffer any damage from an injury, then the pain from this will go once you have attended to that injury. A broken arm does not hurt to the same degree a day following the break, once it is in a plaster cast and you know you are protected. The bone is still broken but if we had to wait until the bone healed before the pain reduced, then you would have constant pain for around four weeks until the bone had healed. Your body reduces the level of pain to a point that is required, so that you continue to protect the arm whilst it heals. Sometimes however the brain forgets to reset the the pain signal even after the damage has healed. This loop signal is reinforced by emotions and memories around the event that started it.

This is where I can really help you work with your unconscious mind that is still running the pain signal and work with you to reset the system to normal.

Science is teaching us now through functional MRI scanning, that physical and emotional pains stimulate the same part of the sensory motor cortex of the brain. This means that when someone feels stressed in any way at all that it can stimulate a pain pathway that already exists due to the injury. It becomes such an easy pathway to trigger that only a small amount of physical movement is required to cause that pain again and believe it or not, even stressful thoughts can trigger the same pathway and cause pain.

Essentially any stress you feel triggers a ‘fight or flight’ response and this can occur without you even noticing it. It can continue for years. The only thing you are aware of is the current level of pain and because of what you believe or understand, you think that the pain has an entirely physical cause. Once you understand that stress is a driver for the ongoing pain and that your body is merely in a protective state running an overprotective programme, then with OldPain2Go® you can target that programme as a way of helping yourself let go of the pain.

There a specific technique that is used within the approach that unlocks the mechanism behind releasing the pain and allows the body to totally relax. It does not take long and once completed the signs and symptoms are reassessed.

If you would like to reduce or better manage your pain, then call me for an OldPain2Go® session. You’ll be so glad you took that next step.

Testimonials

I went to see Geordie for a chronic pain condition which I have had for over two years. After only my first visit I was given the knowledge and the techniques to use to alleviate my pain sensations.

I use these calming strategies now whenever the pain presents and the result is amazing. The way Geordie uses his words empowers the listener to take control of their thoughts in a positive and healing way. I am so grateful for the help he has given me and so glad I went to see him

Water drops near a stack of stones

I visited Geordie after suffering with chronic pelvic pain for over two years. I'd had this pain issue for my entire adult life (I am now 45 years of age) but it dramatically impacted my quality of life in the past two years. I had been working with a team of specialists over this time including a Gynecologist, multiple Physiotherapists, Pain Psychologist, Exercise Physiologist and a Pain Management Specialist. Following over 18 months of physical therapy, specialised exercise programs, daily medication and a hospital procedure to relax muscles and numb nerves, I was still unable to completely eliminate my pain.

Having previously experienced unsuccessful attempts at "hypnotherapy" with other practitioners I was naturally skeptical that Geordie would be able to help, but had nothing to lose. I was surprised and elated when I had an 80% reduction in my pain in the first session. After the second session, there was simply no more pain there. It was just gone. Even after long, hilly trail walks (previously not possible for me), and testing all the gym exercises that would usually cause crippling pain flares, I am now enjoying total  freedom from the pain and have my life back.

Geordie is a highly skilled and experienced practitioner who holds a safe and caring space for his clients. I would highly recommend anyone experiencing persistent or chronic pain to try Hypnologic Solutions.
